VeriChip SEC Registration Statement Raises New Questions
Spokespeople Refuse to Answer

Spychips co-author and CASPIAN Communications Director Liz McIntyre contacted VeriChip spokeswoman Corinne Hirsch with questions prompted by the company's SEC Registration Statement. Hirsch initially promised a prompt response. When the company failed to get to get back to her, McIntyre followed up and Hirsch told her that she had been instructed not to answer the following questions:

1. What VeriChip directors have been chipped and which have not received
chips? When do those not chipped expect to be chipped? Here is the list
of directors I have:

Kevin H. McLaughlin 63 Chief Executive Officer and Director
Daniel A. Gunther 44 President
Malik Talib 38 Executive Vice President
Nurez Khimji 37 Chief Financial Officer
Scott R. Silverman 41 Chairman of the Board of Directors
Daniel E. Penni 58 Director
Tommy G. Thompson 64 Director
Constance K. Weaver 53 Director
Paul C. Green 55 Director

2. In the IPO registration document, concern over the VeriChip
subscriber medical database is highlighted. What security measures are
in place to assure customer data is protected and handled properly? What
are the risks that the database information would not be available when
needed in an emergency? Do you recommend that patients carry back-up
identification like a Medic Alert bracelet?

3. VeriChip indicates that those with VeriChips need to take special
precautions when undergoing MRI procedures. I understand that patients
must be alert and able to indicate if there is any sensation in the
chipping area during the procedure, and that those who are unconscious,
confused, sedated etc should not undergo the procedure.

What are the MRI risks to chipped patients? Could a patient be burned or
could the VeriChip migrate when a patient undergoes an MRI? Is there a
risk that the VeriChip would fail if the chipped patient is subjected to
the MRI procedure? Do you have any studies that show results of MRI tests?

Do you recommend that chipped patients carry identification like a Medic
Alert bracelet to alert emergency personnel about the device and MRI issues?
